Bethany Angel

Happy Monday everyone!! Well, not such a happy Monday for me. I had to take my 10 year old to the ER last night. He said he was having problems breathing. NOT what a mom wants to hear! So we spent 3 hours there...got there at 8:30 & got home close to midnight. Ugh. He's fine now....flu/strep/urine sample/chest xray all came back negative. Still not sure what was wrong with him....but as long as he's feeling better that's all I care about.

Then today my hubby had his follow up doctor appointment. Yep, 4 1/2 MONTHS after his surgery, he has a follow up. And it wasn't great news....he now has to go to another doctor. I will save that whole story for another day...

Somehow I managed to finish a card yesterday! This is Bethany Angel, an older High Hopes stamps but a doll none the less. Another that's been on my wish list for a while that I finally got around to ordering. And.....drum roll please....I colored her with my Copics! Not the greatest...I couldn't get the blending right on her pants....but I do love the colors & I love how bright & magnificent the markers are. The papers are Basic Grey Two Scoops.....can you believe I only have about 4 papers left in this 6x6 pad?? Plus some scraps. I hadn't realized I used that much! The flowers in the corner are all punched, & the bottom 2 were embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. The leaves are Martha punches, & the swirl is a Sizzlit die. The sentiment is from a Studio G $1 clear set from Michael's. I used Shimmerz Angel Wings on her angel wings...lol....Not sure you can see the shimmer, but maybe if you click on it...

Here's a picture of the inside.....same papers, same flower & leaves.....

Well I'd like to say the rest of the week HAS to get better, but that's just asking for it to get worse. If there are no more trips to the ER.....no more weird sickness/no sickness....& no one loses their job this week.....then it's a successful week :)

Oh, & I did manage to get 2 whole stamps listed on Ebay today......lol.....both are older Whipper Snapper stamps....click HERE to check them out! I *will* bet getting more listed soon!!

High Hopes challenge #24!!

Good Sunday morning everyone!! Well, we got walloped with snow last night....I knew all that nice weather & tulips popping up were just a nasty tease from Mother Nature!! Earlier this week we weren't wearing jackets.....now I'm hearing my neighbors snow thrower!! Ahhhh....Wisconsin...

This week's High Hopes challenge comes from my fabulous friend Ila, & she would like to see creative borders on our cards!! You can use punches, ribbon, distressing.....anything, really, to give your borders some oomph!

For my card this week I chose to use Miss Peggy, one of the recently new releases....isn't she a doll? I'd been seeing a lot of white on white cards lately, & realized that that was the challenge on the ATS blog this past week. I've never done a card in just one color.....well, I guess I still didn't, since I stuck some pink in there.....but I thought I'd give it a try. So I colored Peggy with my Prismas & gamsol, used the Cuttlebug paisley folder on the bottom layer, the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder & that Martha doily lace punch on the vertical strip, & my Nesties for the image. I added some white polka dot ribbon, some Primas, & a Cuttlebug vintage corner covered in Stickles. Sure seems like this card shouldn't have taken very long.....but of course, I futzed with it & fiddled with it & 2 hours later, this was the end result, lol. There is no such thing as a quick card for me!!

Be sure to hop on over the High Hopes blog to check out what the other Divas have done! As always, if you play along, be sure to post a link so you can have a chance to win some goodies!!

Oh, & I wanted to share with you our 2 new guest designers for the next term......Tab & Karen!! Tab's blog is Tabby Craft Designs & Karen's blog is 6 Wacky Women. Please check out their blogs....they are both stupendously talented, fun, sweet ladies & I cannot WAIT to see all the fabuloso creations they are going to make with the HH images!! Welcome to you both!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a fabulous Sunday!!!

Recipe Thursday

Hello all, & happy Thursday!! It is Thursday, right? Sheesh.....ALL DAY yesterday I kept thinking it was Tuesday, & it didn't hit me until about 3:00 that it wasn't Tuesday....it was Wednesday. That is a really scary feeling, not knowing what day of the week it is. My mind is definitely going.

I want to thank all of you for your kind words & support!! So many comments....& emails....I so appreciate you all crossing your parts for us, lol. They had a meeting yesterday at my hubby's work, & they did say they were going to try everything to NOT lay off people....including possibly cutting everyone's hours back a bit. 32 hours a week is still way better than no hours a week!! I worry so about insurance.....I don't know what we would do about that if he lost his job. He said their Cobra is the worst.....that we'd be better off with private insurance. Well, I guess we cross that bridge if we come to it....no sense in worrying about it until it happens, right??

Anyway....on to today's easy peasy recipe. Today we have Sloppy Joes!! I can't stand Sloppy Joes out of a can, lol. This recipe has been around a long time.....my mom always made it when I was a kid....but I think it's very popular all over, because I have met a few friends who make it the exact same way.

SLOPPY JOES

1 green or red pepper, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
6 stalks celery, chopped
2 cups ketchup
3 TBSP sugar
3 TBSP dry mustard
3 TBSP vinegar
4 TBSP worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper
2 lbs ground beef

Saute pepper, onion & celery in butter. Add ketchup & seasonings. Simmer 45 minutes. Brown meat & add to sauce; heat through.

That's it!!! So easy but soooooo good. I actually don't add the celery, because none of us likes celery. But that's how the recipe came to me so I kept it. Sometimes I cut the recipe in half, if I'm making it just for the kids & me. But you can freeze it, so it would make a great, quick dinner for those nights you just don't have time to cook a big meal. Enjoy! And as always, if you try it let me know....I love to hear how you liked it!!

Put on your shades!

This is a bright one!! This is actually my 4th attempt at a card today. I don't love it, but I don't hate it.....it is what it is. Everything I touched today turned to garbage. I couldn't color right, I couldn't cut right, my sewing machine isn't working right....sigh....it all matches my mood. More about my mood later....

I was so happy to receive my Magnolia Spring Club Kit last week!! This is one of the images from that kit, isn't Tilda sweet? I wanted to play with SCS's sketch challenge from last week.....preferably before they posted the new one! I used DCWV's Citrus stack.....very bright!! But very springy, & since it is rainy & yucky here, & since it IS spring now, & since Tilda is holding flowers.....the Citrus stack it was. Colored with Prismas & gamsol.....punched all the flowers from various punches....& added some gold dots to the corners. I was so very frustrated & spent by the time I was done....I didn't have it in me to finish the inside.

So why am I crabby? Because we recently found out that my husband will probably be laid off from his job. I know....it's nothing thousands & thousands of others aren't going through as well. I thought we were prepared.....paying off CC's, watching our spending....but when it's "real"....when it's right there in front of you, you don't feel prepared at all. It's not definite, but they are shutting down the first week of April, & that Monday after many people are going to be shown the door. It wouldn't be so bad if I had a FT job. But as you know, I'm just a sub in the school district, very part time. I was hoping to keep it up so I could hopefully be hired eventually as a permanent employee. Now everything is up in the air....we just have to wait & see what happens....cross your fingers & toes & all your other crossable parts for us!!!

Despite my saying I wasn't going to list on Ebay anymore....I have listed a couple of cards. I'm also trying to add to my Etsy shop.....& I'm going to go through my stamps to see what I can sell. I have so many SU retired sets that I just had to have, but I have to face facts....I just don't use SU stamps. Sorry if that offends anyone...I love their paper....but I am up to my eyeballs in High Hopes stamps, that I just don't need other stamps. My love affair with Magnolia & Penny Black will never end.....but I do need to sell what I don't use. I will keep you posted on what I have, if I list it, or if I will just sell it through here. Thanks for listening to my pitiful rant!!

Have a great night!!

High Hopes challenge #23

Ok, so I'm a little late, lol!! I stamped the image last Thursday, & it took me until just after dinner tonight to get it done! What can I say....I'm pokey!!

This week's High Hopes challenge is Buttons Galore! Yes, I know, ONE button does not galore make. Or something like that. But it's all I could fit in there....any more & they just wouldn't have looked right.

For my card I used Miss Zoe, a new release from High Hopes. I colored her with Prismas & gamsol & used my Nesties for the matte, which is Bazzill Bling. The patterned paper is Making Memories Chloe's Closet. I love this pad so much, I think I'll have to get another!! It's just so springy, & I love blue & orange together. The big blue Prima & button are from my friend Chris, the other Prima & the charm are from my stash. The sentiment is from one of the clear $1 sets from Michael's....those sure come in handy!

Here's a picture of Zoe close up....isn't she adorable??

Needless to say I haven't finished the inside yet. I was rushing just to get the front made, lol!

Be sure to check out the High Hopes blog so you can ogle all the other Divas creations!! And as always, you can be entered to win a couple of High Hopes goodies if you play along!

I just had to share...I went to Target yesterday to look for a new book to read. I've read every book in this house & needed something new....something different. There on an endcap was the Twilight book. I didn't think I would ever cave. I know everyone LOVES the series.....but I'm just not that into vampire books or movies. The only vampire movie I've ever watched was
From Dusk Till Dawn..... with George Clooney....quite a few years ago....they go to a bar in a remote town, & everyone is a vampire.... I thought it was funny & quite enjoyed it. But let's face it, I really only watched it because George Clooney was in it, lol. Love Eyed Anyway, I did buy Twilight. It's HUGE & considering I only really read at night in bed, it will take me a year to finish it. I will keep you updated as to how I like it. I've only heard raves about it, I guess *everyone* can't be wrong!!

Enjoy what's left of your weekend!!!

Recipe Thursday

Ha!!! I bet you thought I forgot again, huh?? Well I worked all day.....& had just enough time between finishing dinner & cleaning up, & going to our Cub Scout meeting.....so.....

Today's recipe is for Homemade Mac & Cheese!! I've been making this recipe for a couple of years, & it's one of those that, shockingly, EVERYONE in the family loves!! In fact, I usually double the recipe so we have leftovers. And I rarely make the box stuff anymore, since it's really hard to go back after having homemade!

HOMEMADE MAC & CHEESE

1-1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
5 TBSP butter, divided
3 TBSP all purpose flour
1-1/2 cups milk
1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
2 oz process American cheese, cubed
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 TBSP dry bread crumbs

Cook macaroni according to directions; drain. Place in a greased 1-1/2 qt baking dish; set aside. In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk; bring to a boil. Cook & stir for 2 minutes; reduce heat. Stir in cheeses, salt & pepper until cheese is melted. Pour over macaroni; mix well. Melt the remaining butter; add the bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.

Now how yummy does this look???

See that crunchy stuff on top? That's the bread crumbs.....the best part! But my 10 year old doesn't like that part, so all the more for me!!!

I have another recipe, although it's not for humans, lol. I thought that since spring is in the air, that I would share a recipe for some bird suet that I like to make. Yes, it's easier to just buy it, lol....but I like to add different things, experiment, & see what attracts which birds.

SUET

2 cups lard
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 cups cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup raisins
1 cup wild bird food

Melt lard & peanut butter together over low heat. Remove from heat & stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into plastic molds or containers. Cover & store in freezer until ready to use.

This is a pretty basic recipe. I've added so many different things.....all kinds of berries & nuts....sunflower seeds....cracked corn...it all depends on what you want to attract!

I hope your week has been wonderful, & that your weather has been as great as ours this week! Today was a bit chillier......upper 40's... but I'll take it!!Spring is on its way!!!!

Happy Hump Day!!

I hope you all are having a great week!! We had a FANTASTIC day yesterday ~~ it was in the 70's!! It's only about 50 today, which is still just fine with me!! It's nice to know spring is on its way!! I worked the last 2 days & have been having trouble finding the time to finish this card that I started on Sunday, lol.

The coloring alone took me forever. I decided to try my hand at coloring with Distress Inks. Why? I don't know.....lol....my watercoloring skills stink & I don't know why I thought it would be easier with these inks. Maybe I thought they had magical powers. So....I inked up this lovely Tilda which hadn't seen any love yet.....& found some gorgeous K&Company papers....& went to work. I only have 5 ink pads, so I was pretty limited. Anna, you'll be happy to know that I used my waterbrush AND I used it the proper way....filled with water! I used my heart Nesties behind Tilda....although the very bottom one is hand cut....didn't have one big enough....& I also used my Nesties to cut out & layer the sentiment (which is from SU's Riveting). I don't think you can see it in the picture, but I tried my new Shimmerz on the bottom flower, just to see how it would look. I bought the Angel Wings, because it seemed the most versatile. It definitely shimmers!! I finished it off with 3 Dew Drops in the lower corner.

Here's Tilda's close up......she's happily sitting on her beautiful shimmery ribbon I received recently in a goodie package. I didn't get around to decorating the inside yet....but I will probably use the same layout with the same papers & a big ole heart in the middle :)

Hope you have a wonderful day....I'm off to finish laundry & run some errands....I will be back tomorrow with a recipe (or two) for recipe Thursday!!

High Hopes Challenge #22

Good morning, & happy Sunday to you!! It's gorgeous here today....sunny & it's supposed to reach 53 degrees!! And can you believe it's supposed to be 61 degrees on Tuesday?!?!? Of course, it's then supposed to be 38 on Saturday.....but at least we're inching closer to spring :)

Today's High Hopes challenge is to use NO PATTERNED PAPER.......**gasp**....yes, you read that right. NO PATTERNED PAPER!! I can't remember the last time I didn't use any DP on a card, so this *was* a challenge for me!!!

I used the adorable Birthday Buzzard from this last release....& I really should have Googled "buzzard", because I had no idea how to color him! What color are buzzards, anyway?? I figured gray was safe....nice & neutral, lol. I used my Prisma pencils & gamsol, with a hint of Twinkling H2O's to color him. Used my circle Nesties to cut him out....had to chop off the balloons, lol, but that's ok, I think they look just fine sticking out. I clear embossed them before cutting them out so they're all pretty shiny. I used my Houndstooth CB folder on the Rose Red panel, & the Swiss Dots folder on the So Saffron panel. I do love this color combo, & the layout is the Mojo Monday sketch from this past week. I always check out the sketches, but I don't think I've ever actually tried one!! The flower & leaf were a gift from Tina, the super sweet owner of High Hopes. I finished it off with a sparkly brad, & some Stickles on the flower. I'm not used to seeing so much white on my cards, but I do like the end result.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but I used the same papers & layout as the front. I love using the same sketch on the inside as I did on the front.

Go check out the High Hopes blog to see what fabulous creations the other Divas came up with!! As always, you can be entered to win some HH goodies if you link your creation sans patterned paper to THIS POST! Thanks so much for visiting, & enjoy your day!!!

TGIF!!

Hello & Happy Friday!! TGIF!! As I said, it's been one W-E-I-R-D week around here & I'm glad it's over!! I have another High Hopes card to show you today, using another new image!!

How cute is Odie?? I was brave & used my Copics to color him in, & it actually went pretty well!! The only thing I used my pencils for was the bluish shadow around him! Yay me!! I added Crystal Effects to his wet nose & used my clear Spica marker for his collar. The papers are all DCWV.....the blue & the black are from the Fall Stack, & the patterned paper is from the Pets Stack. Used my Nesties, added 3 brads on the horizontal panel, & some Primas. Voila....a card that probably should have been quick, but since it does take me a while with those Copics, well, it wasn't that quick, lol. But I do like it! Now I just have to find someone who LOVES dogs to send it to!!

Here's a picture of the inside, using another piece from the Pets Stack, & those same scalloped oval Nesties. The white panel is sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink because once I had it put together I realized it was too stark against the off-white in the pattern paper.

And for all you smarty-alecs who asked where Thursday's recipe was yesterday.....well you'll just have to wait until next Thursday, lol. I was consistent for about 2 weeks, wasn't I? Maybe I'll post 2 recipes next week!! Ha!!

Have a great weekend!! I'll see you back here on Sunday for my High Hopes challenge card!

A pizza my heart....

Hello everyone, & happy Thursday!! I have another card using one of the latest releases from High Hopes!

Meet Luigi!! Isn't he the cutest little pizza chef you've ever seen?? I used my Prisma pencils & gamsol to color him in, highlighting some areas with my Twinkling H2O's. I really wanted to try something different with my layout. I absolutely LOVE the way some use a whole bunch of papers on their cards....without matting (which is something I always seem to do)....& they always look so well put together. My very favorite card artist who does this is my friend Inge. I met this very talented stamper a few years ago when she started with High Hopes, & have admired her work ever since. Her coloring is FANTASTIC, & the way she puts papers together....well, she is the master! Whenever I try to do that, it looks like a mess. So....while blurfing this morning...I came across the Whiff of Joy sketch challenge from yesterday. Perfect!! This will help me put papers together, without it looking like a kindergartner did it!! I used Always Artichoke for the base, Mellow Moss & a whole bunch of papers from the Basic Grey Wassail pad. They aren't just for Christmas, ya know!! I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder on a couple of layers....the flowers are all punches or Primas...& I of course used my Martha Stewart branch punch. I'm definitely getting my money's worth from that punch!

I couldn't get a GREAT pic of the inside, but I really wanted to share the sentiment with you, You have a pizza my heart, also from this last release. I used the Martha heart lace border punch, along with Riding Hood Red (yes, I know my heart looks really bad....it's that red thing with my camera....grrrrr), Mellow Moss & a scrap of Wassail.

Thanks so much for stopping by....I am now off to run some errands on this cold but sunny day. I've had a weird week & am very much behind on just about everything!

***edited to add......I was just looking at my picture really closely....& realized Luigi's pants & oven mitts look nowhere NEAR the actual color I colored them!! They are more green than brown.....I colored them specifically to match the Artichoke....sigh....my camera is really playing games with me (& can you tell I have a bit of OCD when it comes to things matching on my cards? LOL!!)

Little Missy

OK, I refuse to tell you how long this card took me to make!! I'll give you a hint.....I colored the image 3 different times! The first 2 were with my Copics, & they just didn't turn out. I think because I tried using Walmart's Georgia Pacific paper (which works great with Prisma pencils) instead of Papertrey's white, which is what I usually use but it uses so much ink ...I'm in search of the "perfect Copic paper". I've been told Neenah Solar Crest & Gina K's white are both awesome.....it's just a matter of getting some.

Anyway...on to the card. So yes, I colored the image twice with Copics, unsuccessfully, so the third time I reached for my trusty Prismas. Can't go wrong with those!! BUT ~~ then I messed up the background so I had to cut the image out AND rethink the whole layout.....sigh.....this card was NOT going to get the best of me!!

Little Missy is an older High Hopes stamp, but she was on my wish list forever. I finally ordered her, & received her with this last batch of stamps. I cut her out (ha!) & placed her on a Pacific Point panel embossed with my CB Birds & Swirls folder (I *think* that's the name of it). I used my new Basic Grey Marrakech paper (bought with my LSS rummage money, so it was free!!) & some rusty orange DCWV paper for the matting. I used the Fiskars Apron Lace punch on the horizontal strip.....added the "Celebrate" from a Stampendous sentiment stamp....3 tiny rhinestones under the image....& of course some flowers in the corner.

I don't know if you can see the embossing on the blue flower. My friend Chris sent me some goodies recently, which included some embossed Primas. None would work with this card, but I thought they were cute so I made my own. After punching the flower I used my stylus to emboss the swirl from the same folder I used on the panel behind the main image. It's pretty subtle, but it does add a little something :)

And a blurry pic of the inside.....lol....my camera is misbehaving again today. Can't blame the yucky weather....it's so dark & rainy out that I used my homemade light box....& it still turned out blurry. And it can't POSSIBLY be an operator problem, so I'm blaming the camera, lol!

Well I hope you all have a FAB Tuesday. It's an early release day today so my kids will be home early.....we're going to get haircuts, eating an early supper, then I'm helping at school with Kindergarten Registration. Seems like just yesterday I was registering Michael.....but it's been a whole year!! Time really does fly when you get old!

Challenge #21 .... a zig or a zag???

Good morning!! This week's High Hopes challenge comes to us from Anna.....my original stamping idol! The challenge is to use zig zags on your card. It can be a zig zag punch.....zig zag stitching....a zig zag stamp....you get the idea!

Well I just happened to find this fun "stitched" paper in my stash.....the company name is gone, but I would have to guess it's Doodlebug paper....it's just their fun kind of paper!! I also used some zig zag ribbon from American Crafts. The image is Party Girl Florence from High Hopes. She's colored with Prisma pencils & gamsol.....lots of Crystal Effects & glitter on the balloons....& I sponged the sky & ground. Well, I sponged it *after* I colored it. Coloring usually works for me but I just couldn't get it to look right, so I sponged right over it. I thought I had the Happy Bird-day sentiment.....but I can't find it. Doesn't mean I don't have it, just means I can't find it!

I again used my fake Dew Drops....Crystal Accents from Michael's. I use the clear, then using my 1/4" hole punch I punch a few pieces of card stock....in this case Regal Rose....& glue them on. Usually I use my Crystal Effects to glue them on, but this time I used Stickles so they're sparkly pretty......see????

This card almost didn't happen.....we have Pink Eye in our house....ugh!! So far it's Pink Eye - 2, Petermanns - 0!! There's so much going around school....& Pink Eye is pretty tame so I'm not complaining, lol!!

Be sure to check out the other Divas work on the High Hopes blog.....& if you play along you have a chance at winning some goodies!!!!

Have a great week!!

Recipe Thursday

Good morning, everyone!!! I am on my way to work, but wanted to post my super simple recipe of the week!! This one comes courtesy of Simple & Delicious magazine (formerly Quick Cooking), something I can't live without!! I've had my subscription for 3 years & just love it!! If you like easy.....you should really check out this magazine....click HERE for the website!

Now on to the recipe! I made these cookies over Christmas, & they were gone within a couple of days!! I couldn't believe how good they were, considering how easy they were to make!!

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

2 cans (16 ounces each) chocolate fudge frosting, divided
1 egg
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Granulated sugar

Set aside one can plus 1/3 cup frosting. In a large bowl, combine the egg, peanut butter and remaining frosting. Stir in flour just until moistened.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Flatten cookies with a fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 375° for 8-11 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks. Cool completely; spread with reserved frosting. Yield: 3-1
/2 dozen

Simple, or what?? I grabbed the picture that was on the website, because I didn't think to take a picture when I made them. Trust me....these are yummy!!

If you try this recipe let me know, I'd love to hear how you & your family liked it!!!

Have a great day!!

Wednesday sketch challenge

Good morning, everyone!! It's bright & sunny here, & I have loads to do today so this will be a quick post! I just wanted to share my card I did for the sketch challenge today on SCS.

I had colored this cute Tilda last night with my Copics. I decided I needed to quit buying the markers, & actually start *using* them, lol. I added some Twinkling H2O's to make the shading more prominent (a trick I learned from the master herself, Ila). I knew I wanted to use the DCWV Baby Girl papers, so I colored her accordingly. I didn't have time to make her into a card last night, so this morning when I saw the sketch challenge, it was an "aha" moment. Perfect ~~ I can have her sitting on one of those panels!! I added some Primas (the pink & green ones are from my friend Chris....thanks Chris!!), a pearl & an adorable cherry charm I bought on Ebay. I bought them specifically to use with this Tilda!! I have lots so I'd better get cracking & make more Cherry Tilda cards, lol!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit......stay tuned tomorrow for recipe Thursday (yes, I've decided Thursdays are recipe day, lol). Have a great day!!!

High Hopes challenge #20

Good Sunday morning to ya!! I hope you have a fun day planned. I am going with my boys to see a high school production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. I have to admit it's not one of my favorite movies......it's always kinda freaked me out....especially those flying monkeys....but it is supposed to be a GRAND production, & we are going with our Cub Scout den. All part of earning those badges....what's a mom to do, lol.

Today's challenge on the High Hopes blog is Getting That Fuzzy Feeling. You can use anything fuzzy on your card, & I sure hope QTip cotton qualifies as fuzzy, cuz that's what I used!!

For my card I used the recently released, way-too-adorable Bunny Blooms. I used my Prismas & gamsol to color....& attached the cotton onto his tail using Crystal Effects. I've had this piece of Cosmo Cricket paper FOREVER....but I never picked up any coordinating pieces...so I've held off using it until now. The bunny is a bit bigger, so I really only needed the one piece of dp. The sage-y green paper is the reverse side. I didn't add much to this card.....a few little lines of paper in the 2 corners, & a Prima & punched flowers, along with some branches in another corner. Voila ~~ a fun fuzzy card :)

Be sure to check out the High Hopes blog to see what the other Divas created! As always, if you play along be sure to link your card to the comments on THIS POST so you can be entered in the drawing to win some goodies!

My new blogging friend Paula passed on this adorable award to me the other day. I met her through our brand new Creatively Cute blogger group. Be sure to check out her blog HERE. Thanks so much, Paula, I so appreciate it!!!!

Also, I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up to this award from Tania this morning. Thank you so much, Tania...you really made my Sunday morning!!!

Well I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend....& hey!! It's March 1st!! Goodbye February, hello spring!! Well ok, it's usually still pretty icky weather wise around here in March. But we are that much closer to nice weather, right??
