Good morning everyone, & happy Sunday!! I'm so glad I was able to join in this week's
High Hopes challenge .....to use SNOWFLAKES!! Funny thing is, I made & posted
Friday's card before I ever even looked at today's challenge. Well, darn it all anyway, that card would have worked perfectly, lol!! That'll teach me to look at the challenge at the beginning of the week, rather than the day before!!
So I did another card! After finding this Basic Grey paper in my stash (from the Mistletoe & Pear pad, a limited collection from last year that I believe was only available from Michael's), I decided to use the beautiful
Herald Angel. She's colored with Prismas & gamsol, with LOTS of glitter on her wings & horn. I cut her out using the
Nesties Labels 2 dies. Did some stitching....added some ribbon to cover up the lousy stitching....& added the snowflake in the corner. The bottom 2 layers of flake were made with the Nesties snowflake dies....& the top blue layer was punched with the Martha Stewart Arctic snowflake punch. I then sprayed the whole flake with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist.
****sorry for the bad pics......still trying to get used to my "new" (old) camera****
Hopefully you can see the glitter in this picture.....
...and the gold Glimmer Mist in this one.....the snowflake is sparkly pretty, just like a real one. Ok, so most real snowflakes aren't green & blue, but they do sparkle!!
Be sure to check out the challenge & the other Divas creations on the
High Hopes blog. If you make a challenge card, be sure to link it in the comments section so you can be eligible to win a High Hopes goodie!!
Here's a picture of my goofy kids yesterday before we went Trick or Treating. Matthew is supposed to be Mickey Mantle....that's who he had to dress up as for school on Wednesday so I guess it was good enough to go T or T'ing. Half his costume is missing, but I told him that was fine because we had to wear our winter coats & hats!!! Oh my freezing goodness, it was cold! I'm glad ours was during the day...most of the communities around here had theirs at night. There was not enough hot chocolate in the whole town to warm us up when we got home!! But they had fun! And I hope you did too!! Can you believe it's November now???? And so the crazy holiday season begins........
Have a great Sunday.......I will be back later to pick a BLOG CANDY winner!!!!
