Hello everyone, & happy Thursday!! I have another card using one of the latest releases from High Hopes!
Meet Luigi!! Isn't he the cutest little pizza chef you've ever seen?? I used my Prisma pencils & gamsol to color him in, highlighting some areas with my Twinkling H2O's. I really wanted to try something different with my layout. I absolutely LOVE the way some use a whole bunch of papers on their cards....without matting (which is something I always seem to do)....& they always look so well put together. My very favorite card artist who does this is my friend Inge. I met this very talented stamper a few years ago when she started with High Hopes, & have admired her work ever since. Her coloring is FANTASTIC, & the way she puts papers together....well, she is the master! Whenever I try to do that, it looks like a mess. So....while blurfing this morning...I came across the Whiff of Joy sketch challenge from yesterday. Perfect!! This will help me put papers together, without it looking like a kindergartner did it!! I used Always Artichoke for the base, Mellow Moss & a whole bunch of papers from the Basic Grey Wassail pad. They aren't just for Christmas, ya know!! I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder on a couple of layers....the flowers are all punches or Primas...& I of course used my Martha Stewart branch punch. I'm definitely getting my money's worth from that punch!
I couldn't get a GREAT pic of the inside, but I really wanted to share the sentiment with you, You have a pizza my heart, also from this last release. I used the Martha heart lace border punch, along with Riding Hood Red (yes, I know my heart looks really bad....it's that red thing with my camera....grrrrr), Mellow Moss & a scrap of Wassail.
Thanks so much for stopping by....I am now off to run some errands on this cold but sunny day. I've had a weird week & am very much behind on just about everything!
***edited to add......I was just looking at my picture really closely....& realized Luigi's pants & oven mitts look nowhere NEAR the actual color I colored them!! They are more green than brown.....I colored them specifically to match the Artichoke....sigh....my camera is really playing games with me (& can you tell I have a bit of OCD when it comes to things matching on my cards? LOL!!)

how cute is he? LOVE both the image and the sentiment...and of course, the card..lol
Hey sweetie, I adore your card, and just love the image, which is coloured to perfection! These new HH stamps are too delish for words!
As for Red Nose day, well in the UK, every 2 years everyone does whacky things to raise money for third world countries that need help ie clean drinking water, food and so on. Its proper title is Comic Relief, but as you buy and wear red noses {like the ones that clowns wear}, thats why we call it Red Nose Day. Hope that makes sense!

Wonderful!!...I agree I always admire the way Inge puts patterned paper together too!!.....Hugs, Ila
So, So Cute... hey on your camera, Have you tried to adjust the white balance on it?? That might make the color look more close to actual. (Go to www.kenrockwell.com and he has advice for adjusting even on point and shoot cameras!) (I'm no expert on it at all, but I can usually follow along in my manual to adjust things!) Just a tip!! He's adorable either way-- Brown OR Green shoes! :)
This is too cute!!! I love the sentiment on the inside!!! Another masterpiece Michelle!!
~hugs,
Chris
