Magnolia vs Stampavie

Good morning, everyone, & Happy April Fools Day!! It's a miserable, cloudy, cold day here in Wisconsin, but April is here so nothing can dampen my mood! I'm pretending it's sunny & 70 outside. My computer is downstairs in the basement.....no windows.....so I can imagine any weather I want to!

Today's card is for the Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge. It's a color challenge, & the colors are red, black & white, with gray as an optional color.

I inked up the adorable Tilda holding the ladybug from the spring kit. I had colored her dress in using my red Prisma, but there must have been something on my stump because when I started blending, I started getting black streaks. The stump LOOKED clean to me, which left me....well....STUMPED! LOL!! I couldn't correct it & I didn't want to start over, so I paper pieced her dress instead. I knew I was going to use this paper from the DCWV Summer Stack the minute I saw the stamp, so I figured I would coordinate her dress to match the background :) I colored the little bug with Twinkling H2O's. The sentiment & bitty bug is from a Studio G set from Michael's.

Here's a close up of Miss Tilda with her spotted friend.

And here is the inside. This ladybug is also from the spring kit, & I also colored her in with Twinkling H2O's.

I apologize for the pictures. From day one, I've always had trouble with red. Especially when paired with black. The black turns out fuzzy, & the red always looks orange, no matter how much I fiddle with it in PSP. You'll have to use your imagination......the red is the same color as Riding Hood Red, which is what the bottom layer is (& you can see that it matches, lol).

Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments & good thoughts. Matthew is absolutely fine, he went to school Monday morning & even went on a field trip (I did call school first to tell them about the ER trip & the fever, & she said since he was fine that morning to send him). We were both exhausted Monday night, but he is back to being 100%....no sickness ever came of that fever & shortness of breath. Of course, now I have to worry about *why* he was short of breath. If it happens again, it's time for a full workup at the pediatrician's office.

Speaking of doctors, I finally have my appointment today with the Pulmonary Specialist!! It was supposed to be April 30th, but after I almost fell asleep driving a few weeks ago, I called & begged them to get me in earlier. So I go in at 2:00 today, & hopefully I will leave with a Sleep Study scheduled!! Wish me luck :)
