Good Sunday morning, peeps!! It's very very early Sunday morning....but it *is* technically Sunday so I wanted to post my card for the High Hopes challenge. We just got back from the baseball game....so fun....fireworks were awesome....a good time was had by all!!
Today's challenge is to make it sparkle & shine!!!!
I used one of the new releases.....Bearly Swooshin....isn't he cute? Do I say that about ALL the High Hopes images? LOL!! The papers are Bazzill Dots (NEWS FLASH........I found 8x8 pads of Bazzill Dotted Swiss paper at Michael's!!! They've carried various Bazzill pads before....but the dots are NEW!!! Next time they have paper pads on sale I'm buying every one they have!!!!).....& the pattern paper is from a pad I bought last Xmas at Michael's.....it's from Basic Grey & it's called Mistletoe & Pear. It *may* have been a limited edition, or perhaps they will have it again but only at Xmas?? Great great holiday papers!! Anyway, I colored the image with Prismas & gamsol....added lots of glitter to the snow....& clear embossed his goggles....covered a snowflake punchie (my friend Cheryl sent me a bunch of snowflakes last year....thanks again, Cheryl....this is my last one! Guess I'll have to break down & buy those punchesl!!) with Diamond Dust, Anna-style. The sentiment is from a cheapie clear set.... Imaginesce, I think.
Here's a close up of the bear.....looks like he's having a ball.....I think I'll enjoy the sunshine & 80 degree temps even more so after making this one....lol...
Close up of the snowflake.....I couldn't get the button to adhere to the snowflake (too much DD, I guess....nothing would stick) so I actually threaded that twine through the button, then through the snowflake. That was the hardest part about the card, lol!!
Here's a pic of the inside.....yep, there's my last snowflake.....I will have to buy either the punches (I believe they're the Marvy....all different sizes) or find some snowflake dies. Does Spellbinders make snowflake dies?? Anyway.....I loved using the ones I had so this year I'm going to be more prepared!!!
Ok, I'm off to bed......seeing double....lol....thanks so much for looking, & please check out the other fabulous creations on the High Hopes blog!!! Have a fabulous Sunday!!

very cute!
Thsi is so cute, Michelle! I love the embossed cardstock. Darn, I need a Michaels somewhere near me! lol I love the colors, stitching, and twine on the sentiment, too!
Great card!!!!!!! Oh, and now I will have to buy snowflake punches and put glitter on them!!! what a brilliant idea. The seemingly simple ideas are always the best and always the ones I never come up with!!!
This is fantastic. I love this image. His goggles look shiny and real. I think this image rocks. My hubby is a skier. I am so glad you had fun at the game. We have a minor league team here and we need to get out to a game. In the 90 degree 100% humidity. This is adorable Michelle as all your cards are top notch. Spellbinders does have a snowflake die with 3 sizes. I wish I had it...Hugs.
Your card is fabulous!!!! I couldn't help but smile as soon as the image popped on the screen:o) I am always in awe of you coloring...wish I could maneuver a sewing machine so beautifully...and all the details are sheer perfection!!! I don't own any HH stamps; but everytime I visit you, I wish I did!! Awesome card!!!
Hugs!
Carolyn

Hi Michelle,
Oh my gosh! Your card is gorgeous! LOVE IT!!
Provocraft (Cuttlebug) also make 2 snowflake die sets. One is called Ice Crystal 37-1819 which is a diecut and emboss one. It is just over 2-1/2 inches in diameter. The other one is called Snowflake #2 37-1538 and is just a dieset (ie: no embossing folder) and has 3 different small snowflakes around 1" in diamter, plus 4 different sized stars from 3/16" to 7/16" wide. See this link for a card made with the Ice Crystal die: http://pinkgem-janet.blogspot.com/2008/11/cute-card-thursday_22.html
