Happy Friday!! Here are my 5 randoms for the week:

1: I bought 10 cans of pumpkin puree this week. I am a pumpkin hoarder. For the record - I HATE pumpkin. The smell .... the taste .... yuck! But, all my friends & family love pumpkin & I love baking pumpkin goodies, so pumpkin goodies it is! I know, I rock!

2: Last week Friday when I woke up, I couldn't hear out of my left ear. I figured it would eventually pop, but it never did. I lasted 5 days, then went to the doctor. She unplugged me & I can hear again! Nothing like ear wax to make you realize you take hearing for granted!

3: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. *Loved* the first episode! I'm a huge Avengers fan (Iron Man is my favorite) so this will be a must-watch every week.

4: The Target near my work finally got a Starbucks! All the other stores had them, except "mine". I'm there at least once a week. This is good. Or it could be bad. Depends on how you look at it.

5: More coffee news: we got a Keurig at work. I've never used one before, ever. I could never have a single cup maker in my house, as I drink about 4-5 cups of coffee a day. But I am excited to try it, & am searching for just the right flavor. Gosh, there are so many choices!

FALL!!

Grrr.... I've had quite a time trying to get this post written. Took me HOURS just to get to the Blogger screen. I *hate* my computer! Or maybe I *hate* my internet provider. Not sure which. My computer is about 5 years old ..... yet my son has issues also & his computer is only a year old. All I know is I'm sick of {not responding} and {"your plug in is unresponsive. Would you like to stop it?"} (that happens about 5 times right in a row). Sometimes I hate technology!!!

Ok then ....... FALL!!!! I *heart* fall! I love the cooler weather, the changing leaf colors, the pumpkins, Halloween, all of it! In the coming weeks I'm going to be sharing some {fall} pictures I've been taking, some {fall} recipes, & some of my favorite {fall} cards I've made in the past. Heck, maybe I'll even find the time to make a NEW {fall} card :) 

I forgot to mention another fall favorite: mums!!! Here is one getting ready to open .....

I actually took this a few days ago. I need to get back out with the camera, they are probably all open & pretty & I'm missing it!

Where did summer go?

Last year we went to Disney for a week. This summer we didn't go anywhere, but I think it went faster than last year. Between fairs & festivals, baseball games (many!), days at the beach & days at the zoo .... it went way too fast. As much as I like my job & am grateful to have it, I do miss being at home with the boys & having the whole summer to do all we wanted to do. I am lucky enough to work just part time, so it's a pretty nice balance  :)

My husband's company had a picnic at the zoo in July. It was AWESOME - we had the whole zoo to ourselves, and it was catered so every 10 feet (it seemed!) there was a tent with food. We rolled out to the parking lot at the end of the night.

While I was eating my yummy ice cream - THIS was staring at me. Not fond of snakes, but I think they make cool photo subjects. I'm pretty sure he wanted my Dove bar.

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend! The roar of the Harleys is finally starting to dwindle.... I think I'll miss that sound! What a party this weekend - I truly hope everyone who was here has nothing but good tales to tell about Milwaukee!

So ... as I was scrounging through my craft area, trying to get more goodies ready to sell ....I came across my SU Halloween Hedgies set. Oh, how I love the hedgies! Always have, always will. I always wished they had made more sets with those cuties. Anyway, I was thinking about how much I LOVED making Halloween & fall cards.. even more than Christmas. So ... I sat down ... & before I knew it, I had made a card!

Not too shabby ....except ......

Here's the reason why card making & I were never a good fit. I. Am. ANAL. I know, most paper crafters ARE a bit Type A. But - I panic when even the smallest detail has gone wrong. And that happened with this card. I'm just going to leave it at that. 

I had actually made this pumpkin out of punches about 3 years ago for a project & never ended up using it. It sat gathering dust. In fact, look up at the base of the stem, you can see the dust!! And no, that's not the part I'm having a fit about LOL

I still have a huge stash of charms - & this pumpkin worked perfectly. I can't wait until fall, & all things pumpkin! I can't wait to make pumpkin pie & pumpkin bars & pumpkin cookies. I actually hate pumpkin ... but I love baking with it :)

Tomorrow is the first day of school - Matthew starts High School & Michael is in 5th grade. Back to the grind. Back to homework every night. Back to getting up at 5 -stinkin' -o'clock. Sigh ....
